Purging Inactive Accounts

Inactive accounts and all associated data are permanently deleted from PaymentNet 7 months after the account has been purged at the processor. An account is considered inactive when it has had no transactions for 18 months, has no outstanding balance, and is past its expiration date. A message indicating the scheduled purge date will be displayed on the Account Detail screens for 30 days before the account is deleted. Cardholders will also see a message if they log in to PaymentNet and view an account that has been purged at the processor.

When an account is in Purged status, it cannot be used as a template to create a new account or a new card application. Users cannot submit one-time payments or schedule recurring payments for purged accounts, and any pending or recurring payments that would be made after the purge date will be canceled.

Data related to a purged account is not included in saved or scheduled reports or in the output from a mapper once the account has been purged from PaymentNet.
