You can configure an export file that includes data from the PaymentNet modules available to your organization, including the Accounts, Chart of Accounts, Employees, MCC (Merchant Category Code), Merchants, and Transactions modules. The modules you can view are based on hierarchy settings and your assigned role. You can also create an export file of all the customer code defaults that exist for your organization.
Before you create an export file, it is a good idea to run a query for the records you want to include. This reduces the number of records in the list, making it easier for you to locate the data you want to export. You can select individual records to export, as well as specify the output file format.
By default, each record in the export file includes only the columns that are currently visible in your screen view. To change which columns are exported, you must modify your screen view before creating the export file. For more information, see Customizing Your Screen View.
For some types of export files, you can override the current screen view and include all the available columns for each record. This option allows you to create a file that you can modify and then import into PaymentNet with your changes. For example, you could export employee records for a given department in an importable format, modify the data as needed, and then import the same file into PaymentNet to update the employee records. For more information about importing files, see Importing a File Into PaymentNet.
To configure an export file:
Navigate to the List screen that contains the category of data you want to export, such as the Transaction List screen or the Accounts List screen.
Perform a query to find the data you want to export. You can select a Quick Query from the New Query list, perform an Advanced Query by clicking the Advanced Query button, or select a saved query from the Filter By list.
Note:PaymentNet can display up to 10,000 records at a time. If your query includes more than 10,000 records, PaymentNet notifies you that only 10,000 records will be displayed.
Select one or more records to export.
Note:Even though a maximum of 10,000 records display at one time on the Transaction List screen, if you click the Select All button and more than 10,000 records exist, PaymentNet exports the total number of records, not just the 10,000 that display.
Click Export All.
