Moving a Hierarchy ID

The Manage Hierarchy ID screen allows you to move existing hierarchy IDs. When you move a parent hierarchy ID, any child entities or sub-hierarchies associated with the hierarchy ID move with it.

Note:You cannot move a hierarchy so that it is under the DELETED or UNASSIGNED hierarchy node.

To move a hierarchy ID:

1. Select Administration > Hierarchy > Manage.

2. To locate the hierarchy ID you want to move, you can browse for it by clicking the +/- icons to expand or collapse the nodes in the hierarchy tree, then select the hierarchy ID you want to move.

   Or, if you know the hierarchy ID or description, you can use the search feature to locate it.

3. Click Move.

4. In the Hierarchy ID field, enter the hierarchy ID where you want to move the selected ID, or click the link and select the destination ID.

5. Click Save.
