You can close a payable to prevent future transactions from being authorized for it. When closing a payable, you have two options:
Mark the payable as closed (applicable only to payables in Created or Open status). The payable status is changed to Closed.
Mark the payable as closed and fulfilled (applicable to all payables regardless of status). With this option, the payable status is changed to Closed (if necessary) with the modifier Fulfilled by Buyer. Any transactions that had been excluded from the payable, either manually or automatically, are marked as having been manually included.
Note:If a transaction posts after a payable has been marked as Fulfilled by Buyer, the payable status will change to Open Matching Issues so that the issue can be addressed.
The credit remaining amount is set to $0.00 when you close a payable. You should not attempt to close a payable by manually setting the Payable Total to $0.00.
To close a payable:
On the Payable List screen, click the Payable ID.
If the payable status is Open or Created, click Close/Fulfill. Then select Close to close the payable or select Fulfill to close the payable and mark it as fulfilled.
If the payable status is Closed, click Fulfill.
In the Add a Payable Comment field, enter comments (up to a maximum of 1000 characters in English or 500 characters in French).
Click Save Changes.
