Scheduling a One-Time Payment

You can schedule a one-time payment directly from PaymentNet. A one-time payment can be made in any amount up to the maximum payment amount (the current account balance minus any pending payments).

Pending payments are displayed on the One-Time Payment Detail screen. Pending payments reduce the current account balance and are reflected in the Maximum Payment Amount field. For example, if you schedule a payment of $100.00 for May 7 and the current account balance is $500.00, then the maximum payment you can make before May 7 is $400.00. If the current account balance is $0.00, you will not be able to submit any payment.

A one-time payment must be scheduled before 4 p.m. CT to be applied on the same business day. A payment scheduled after 4 p.m. CT will be applied the next business day.

For a one-time payment scheduled in the future, PaymentNet will send you an email notification 10 days before the payment will be withdrawn from your account. If a payment is returned for any reason (for example, insufficient funds or an incorrect account number), you will be notified by email. You can also view any returned payments on the Payment List screen. For more information, see Viewing the Payment History.

Note:Before you can schedule a one-time payment, you must set up your bank account information in your user profile. You can also access your bank account information by clicking the Manage Bank Information link on the One-Time Payment Detail screen.

To schedule a one-time payment:

  1. Select Payments > Create or, while viewing a statement, click the Pay link next to the statement amount.

  2. If you have more than one card account, use the Account Number list to select the account for which you are making a payment.

  3. Complete the following fields:

    Payment Amount

Select the amount of the payment. You can pay the Statement Balance or the Maximum Payment amount shown on the screen. The Maximum Payment amount reflects any pending payments for the account that have not yet been processed. Alternatively, you can select Other Amount and enter the amount you wish to pay. You are required to pay your statement amount in full each month.

    Payment Date

Click the calendar icon and select the payment date, or enter the date manually, using the mm/dd/yyyy format.

  4. If more than one bank is configured, use the Pay from Bank Account list to select the bank account from which the payment will be deducted.

  5. Click Submit.

Note:To avoid making multiple payments, click the Submit button only once.

  6. When prompted to verify the payment information, click Yes, Schedule Payment to continue with the payment. A confirmation number is provided on the One-Time Payment Detail screen.
