You can edit the status of an existing card. For example, you might need to mark a card account as Lost Or Stolen, Closed, or Suspended. When suspending a card, you have the option to schedule the dates when a suspension begins and ends.
When you mark a card as Lost Or Stolen, PaymentNet automatically creates a new account number and sends a replacement card. If your organization uses the rush delivery option, you can choose to expedite the delivery of the replacement card.
To change card status:
Select Accounts > Manage and click the account you want to view. Or, while viewing other information about an account, select Take me to > Account Detail.
From the Status list, select one of the following options:
Active
Select this option to activate the card.
Lost Or Stolen
Select this option if the card is lost or stolen and use the Date Last Seen field to enter the date when the card was last seen. This status closes the account and automatically creates a new card with a new account number.
Note: The account marked as Lost Or Stolen might display as the replacement account until the new card is processed. If the lost or stolen account continues to display as the replacement account for three or more business days after being reported as lost or stolen, contact your program coordinator for assistance.
Suspended
Select this value to temporarily suspend the card and use the Suspend Begin Date and Suspend End Date fields to enter the dates when you want the suspension to begin and end. To suspend the card indefinitely, leave both fields blank; this suspends the card immediately and does not schedule a date for the suspension to end.
To manually reactivate a suspended card, change the status back to Active.
Note: Cards in the New status can only be suspended indefinitely; an end date cannot be set. You must contact your J.P. Morgan program coordinator to reactivate a card suspended from the New status.
Closed
Select this value to permanently close the card and then select the reason for closing the account. For more information, see Viewing the Status of a Card.
If you need to apply a rush delivery, select Rush Card Delivery Information. For more information, see Managing a Rush Card Delivery.
Click Save.
