Setting Temporary Limits

You can use the Account Detail - Temporary Controls screen to set temporary limits on the MCC Groups that have already been associated with an account. If temporary limits are in effect or scheduled for a future date, an indicator appears next to the limit on the Controls or MCC Group Controls tab and also next to the Temporary Controls tab name.

When you create a temporary limit that starts the same day, the limit will take effect at the next scheduled batch interval on the specified day: 7 AM, 11 AM, 3 PM, or 7 PM EST. When you create a temporary limit that starts in the future, the limit will take effect at 4 AM EST on the specified date. Similarly, the end date of a temporary limit is also processed at 4 AM on the specified date.

Note:While a temporary limit is in effect, you cannot change the amount of the limit; you can only adjust the end date. To change the amount, you must cancel the current limit and then set a new temporary limit for the desired amount.

To set temporary spending limits:

  1. Select Accounts > Manage and click the account you want to limit. Or, while viewing other information about an account, select Take me to > Account Detail.
