Note:J.P. Morgan import file templates are Microsoft Excel® worksheets. To open and work with a template, you must have Microsoft Excel 2003 or later.
To configure an import file:
Open the import file template for the type of data you want to import.
Enter your data in the template. You can either enter the data manually or import it into the Excel spreadsheet from an external source.
Verify that the data is consistent with the layout requirements for the specific template.
Note: If you plan to add more data to the file before you import it into PaymentNet, you can save the file in .xls or .xlsx format. However, once you are ready to import the file into PaymentNet, you must save it in Unicode Text (*.txt) format.
Format your Excel worksheet as text. Highlight the entire worksheet by clicking the blank square located to the left of the A column and above the first row of the worksheet. From the Format menu, select Format Cells. Then, on the Number tab, select the Text category and click OK.
Save the file as Unicode text. From the File menu, select Save As. Enter a name for your file and select Unicode Text in the Save as type list. Then click Save.
Note:Import filenames should be unique. As a best practice, incorporate the type of import and a date time stamp into the filename. For example: AccountImport02072019
