Occasionally, a transaction stalls in the approval process. For example, if the approval rule settings are modified while transactions are in the approval process, a transaction may enter the Stalled status. A stalled transaction requires the attention of a program administrator with a scope of view over the transaction.
On the Transaction List screen, you can run the Stalled Transactions - Last 60 Days query to see a list of the transactions that have entered the Stalled status within the previous 60 days. Stalled transactions that have been exported are not included in the query results.
If there are stalled transactions, program administrators will receive a notification on the Transaction Summary tab of the PA Dashboard. Users with multiple roles will see a notification icon on the PaymentNet toolbar if there are stalled transactions within their scope of view. Clicking the notification link displays the Transaction List screen with the results of the Stalled Transactions - Last 60 Days query.
To determine where in the approval process a transaction became stalled, you can trace its progress through the workflow.
To remove a transaction from the Stalled status, you can reassign the transaction to another approver or approve the transaction yourself.
